4th Annual Business Administration Conference: Diversity, Equality and Inclusion

The conference titled “The Fourth Annual Business Administration Conference (ABAC): Diversity, Equality and Inclusion” organized by the Turkish-German University and Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and Arts with the sponsorship of Siemens and DAAD, will be held in person at the Turkish-German University on November 10, 2023.

In today's world, factors such as demographic changes, globalization, increased migration, collaborations and the coming together of people from diverse backgrounds are raising awareness about the impact of practices based on race, age, ethnicity, religion or gender on societies and businesses. As a result, diversity, equality and inclusion are increasingly significant issues in the workplace. Many organizations that seek to support individuals of different races, ethnicities, religions, abilities, genders and orientations recognize diversity, equality and inclusion as three closely related values. Companies that embrace diversity, equality and inclusion have the advantage of attracting the best talent and meet diverse customer needs. Promoting diversity, equality and inclusion in the workplace can contribute to improved business performance and productivity, improved customer relations, recruiting from a broad talent pool, increased team innovation and more effective problem solving. Furthermore, diversity, equity and inclusion can have a significant impact on the overall performance of the business through attracting and retaining talent and increasing employee motivation and satisfaction.

Businesses need to integrate these concepts into their corporate strategies to create fair opportunities and inclusive work environments. In this context, the conference aims to bring both academics from different disciplines and practitioners together to discuss diversity, equality and inclusion in the business environment from different perspectives.
