Business Administration Conference “6th Annual Business Administration Conference: Current Issues in Business Management”

The conference titled “6th Annual Business Administration Conference: Current Issues in Business Management,” organized by the Department of Business Administration, Business Administration Master’s Program and Business Administration PhD Program of the Turkish-German University together with Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and Arts (Hochschule Bielefeld), and sponsored by Siemens Türkiye and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), took place on October 24, 2025, at the Turkish-German University campus.

In the opening session of the event, the Rector of the Turkish-German University, Prof. Dr. Cemal Yıldız, the General Coordinator of the Turkish-German University, Prof. Dr. Ferit Küçükay, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of the Turkish-German University, Prof. Dr. Elif Nuroğlu, the Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration of Hochschule Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Prof. Dr. Rıza Öztürk, the Coordinator of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of the Turkish-German University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zaur Gasimov, and the Head of the Department of Business Administration of the Turkish-German University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Hakan Özdemir, addressed the participants.

The opening session concluded with the opening remarks of Dr. Hüseyin Gelis, President of Siemens Türkiye.

The first session, moderated by Müge Klein, faculty member of the Department of Business Administration at the Turkish-German University, began with the presentation titled “Empowering Digital Transformation through Agile Leadership” by Özlem Vidin Engindeniz, digital and agile transformation leader. Barbara Steinmann from Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and Arts delivered her presentation titled “You and (A)I – A High-Quality Working Alliance? Business Coaching Effectiveness and Its Mechanisms in Human-to-Human and AI-to-Human Coaching Interactions.” The session concluded with the presentation of Eika Auschner from Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and Arts, titled “Lost in Translation? Exploring the Role of Artificial Intelligence in Intercultural Business Communication.”

The second session of the conference, moderated by Eika Auschner from Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and Arts, featured the presentation of Margareta Teodorescu (Koblenz University of Applied Sciences) titled “From Insight To Impact: The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Shaping Strategic Management.” Gül Yüksel from Marmara University presented her study titled “A Machine Learning Approach to Capital Structure Determinants using LASSO and Random Forest: Empirical Evidence from Manufacturing Firms listed on Borsa İstanbul.” Umur Ejder Halhallı from the Turkish-German University concluded the session with his presentation titled “Artificial Intelligence in Recruitment: A Systematic Review on Ethics, Bias, and Fairness.”

The third session, moderated by Dilek Zamantılı Nayır from the Turkish-German University, began with the presentation titled “Making Fairtrade Price Premiums Work: How Partitioned Pricing Enhances Emotional Well-being and Purchase Intention” by Manuel Stegemann from Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and Arts. This was followed by the presentation of Moritz Martin Botts from the Turkish-German University, titled “Behave! The Fields of Consumer Behavior and Organizational Behavior – Convergences and Divergences.” Hüseyin Hayri Nuroğlu from the Turkish-German University concluded the session with his presentation titled “Immigrant Entrepreneurship in Turkey: Assessing Ease of Doing Business for Migrants.”

The conference concluded with the closing remarks of Assoc.
